Business Networking – Have you tried it?
I get lots of emails inviting me to various networking events.
Lots of them seem to be breakfast meetings held in local hotels i.e. you pay a few pound for breakfast and are introduced to various members.
I’ve never attended one of these events, and was wondering if any of you have? If so, what did you think? Why did you go? Did you get anything from it?
Networking means different things to different people. To some, it means mixing with friends and family; to others it means participating on social networks such as Facebook or LinkedIn; to others it means going to formal events to get referrals for their business.
What does it mean to you?
